Mediagnost delegates in 2025 the chairman of Hungarian Standardization Board Committee for Medical Devices

We are pleased to announce that Mediagnost Ltd. delegates Peter Benedek, our colleague, as the chairman of the Hungarian Standards Board's Medical Electrical Equipment, Medical Devices MB843 Committee for the year 2025.

The MSZT/MB 843 Committee for Medical Electrical Appliances is the Hungarian national committee of IEC and CENELEC TC62, dealing with the standardization of the following technical fields:

  • Medical imaging equipment (X-ray diagnostics, CT, MRI, PET, etc…)
  • Other electrical diagnostic equipment (ultrasound, ECG, EEG, digital sphygmomanometers, etc…)
  • Radiotherapy equipment (diagnostic and irradiation systems for the treatment of cancer)
  • General hospital electrical equipment (motorized adjustable hospital beds, operating tables)
  • Medical robots (surgical robots, robots for locomotion rehabilitation and medical exoskeletons, i.e. artificial human exoskeletons)

safety, functional, acceptance and operational standards. Members of the Committee are delegated by universities, manufacturing companies, chambers of industry, the competent authority and quality certification bodies. The first chairman of the Committee was Dr. János Barsai, who worked for Magyar Siemens Művek Elektamossági Rt. after World War II. The second chairman from 2009 was Dr. Tamás Porobszky, who worked at Medicor developing X-ray machines as a colleague of our founder Dr. János Csikós, and later at the Institute of Radiation Biology and Research. The current president is delegated by Mediagnost Kft. already from 2023.
